Canal Boat Rentals very own 'Jacaranda' is moored at Hanham Lock on the River Avon, just outside of Keynsham on the outskirts of historic Bath. The River Avon joins the Avon & Kennett Canal at Bath.

What should we bring?

Non slip shoes, sun cream in the summer, waterproof jackets, mobile and camcorder chargers. You can bring other electrical appliances but please check with us first. There is a collection of books, DVDs CD's and games onboard, you are welcome to bring more. Everything else is provided, just bring loads of food and drink.

Fuel and Water

The boat will be supplied to you with a full tank of fuel (diesel) or near enough. It is a requirement of hire that the boat is returned with a full tank of fuel too. We can advise where best to refuel. Similarly, there will be sufficient water but depending on usage, you will need to top up the water every couple of days or so. There are plenty of facilities providing water en-route. The nearest point for water and emptying of the head is the Wessex Water facility near to Swineford Lock.
